The Speedy Publishing Reader, provides students, teachers, educators, and all users with a very robust search experience to find content in our catalog. This starts from an easy-to-use navigation system, books segmented into collections, a top level search using keywords and book identifiers such as ISBN13 and ISBN-10 numbers and finally a deep dive search for the content inside the books.

Let’s review how to search-

NAVIGATION

The Speedy Reader Navigation is segmented based on Grade Level. Going from PreK to Grade 9. There are three (3) Special Segments Grade 3 – 5, STEM Curriculum and True Canadian. You can also quickly find books recently viewed and books that have been favorited.

You can also sort the Top-Level Navigation by using the sort feature in the reader.

COLLECTIONS

Collections are divided into different topics and genres. Genres such Activity Books, Puzzle Books, Workbooks, Colonial History, Ancient History, Astronomy, Space Science, Mythology, and other genres. Each grade has several collections below and you can browse through the collections.

Next you can select a specific collection and you will be able to view all the books that are available in this specific collection. In the example below we search for books in the STEM Curriculum and Grade 3 Social Studies

You can do a deep dive search in the reader. You can search for keywords while logged into the reader easily. To do this while in the reader select the search option:

When the search bar opens up then you will be able to add your search terms or keyword phrases, that you would like to find in the content.

In the example below we searched for the term "periodic table". Search results show everywhere the term appears on each page and some of the content around the search term. This allows you to get the context in which the term is being used and if this is what you are actually looking for.
